What is an Induction Hob?

An induction hob is an electric-powered hob which can sit either above an integrated oven, or within an available countertop. Induction cooking allows high power and rapid increases in temperature to be achieved. Plus, changes in heat settings are instantaneous. Due to this, making the induction hob a popular choice for modern, and busy living.

Our hobs at Paul Davies are designed to be elegant, sophisticated, and always easy to operate. Furthermore, easy to clean, and maintain and come as a 2,4, or 5 burner introduction hobs to fit your home.

Inductions Hobs, what Pans?

When it comes to cooking on an induction hob, you can only use pans with magnetic properties, so they can conduct electricity. All pots and pans must have bases of ferrous metals, which induction hob pans contain. Moreover, ferrous metals are those that contain iron – that means steel and cast iron.

Unfortunately, pans made of aluminium, brass, and copper won’t work unless they’re specially designed for induction hobs and have a ferrous base. Stainless steel will only work if its base is made of magnetic grade steel.
