A brand new kitchen is a huge investment, it's something that can't be taken lightly as for one, it's a lot of money and for two, it can make a huge difference to your home and maybe even improve your homes market value. Here at Paul Davies, we're here to help you with the do's and don't of designing a kitchen Bury!

Kitchens Bury

  • Don't underestimate the need for storage space - It's important to remember everything that your kitchen will hold. All the little knick knacks, spice jars, pots, pans, mugs, everything will need it's own space in the room.
  • Lighting can change the room - Natural lighting can really bring a room to light, so it's important to factor in where your artificial lighting would do the most work. It's also worth taking into account the style of artificial lighting you might want in the room. Do you want bright LED spot lights? Or do you want something softer, with more of a mood lighting feel?
  • Always start with a budget - It can be incredibly easy to overspend when it comes to home decoration. One things leads to another and you've bought tiles that cost more than your appliances have! Once you've decided on a budget, start off on the right foot with a budgeting spreadsheet. Just have something where you can jot down all your expenses and purchases and you can keep an eye on them.
  • Don't forget about plugs! This is something that can overlooked until it's too late. Work out where your appliances are going to be, where you're going to have your kettle, microwave etc and make sure there is viable plug sockets in those places.
