So you've carried out your annual fitted kitchen spring clean and now you might be thinking you want to update your kitchen and give it a little bit of a refresh. Here at Paul Davies Kitchens Bury, we've put together a quick blog that talks about 4 different ways in which you can spruce up your kitchen on a budget!

  • Door Handles

One super simple way to update your current kitchen cabinets is by changing the door handle. As small as this step sounds, it can really have a big change in your kitchen when combined with a few other changes.

You could go as wild and quirky as you want with your door handles, there are some really funky little door knobs out there if that's your style. On the other hand you could decide to have a theme that carries across the kitchen. Maybe you decide to go for copper handles, then choose copper cutlery, copper lighting or copper finished small appliances.

  • Back Splash

This is another quick and easy way to update your kitchen, especially if you have a set theme in mind! If you already have a tiled back splash you could either change them by using specific tile paint or you could even look on the internet for tile stickers.

If you have a metal or glass back splash, you could always update it again either using stickers, stick on tiles or you could push the boat out if you have a little bit more of a budget and tile it.

  • Lighting

You need to have effective task lighting in your fitted kitchens Bury, you don't want to be cutting onions in the dark do you? But lighting can really have an effect on the room. If you aren't a fan of the bright main lighting then why not look at upgrading your kitchen with some mood lighting? You could install smaller under counter and under cabinet lighting, or use LED strip lighting. These strip lights can come in a range of colours which is perfect for parties and entertaining friends.

  • Sink/Taps

This is another small change that can really make a big difference, especially when made with other small changes in your fitted kitchen. If you do decide to change your handles to something copper or brass, then you can find a kitchen tap that matches that. Or if you're looking to update your current back splash tiles to a nice dark grey or black, why not get a matching anthracite grey sink and tap to do along with that?
