When it comes to appliances, here at Paul Davies Kitchens and Appliances we think we know pretty much all there is to know about appliances Bury. I mean they're in our name! But recently we're getting more and more people coming to us, asking us for advice when something goes wrong with their kitchen appliances. So we decided to put together a short blog on some of the most common problems that can happen with your appliances over time.

We get many people coming in asking for spare light bulbs for fridges, freezers, ovens etc. And 8 times out of 10, it's not the light bulb that's the problem. It can be an issue on your fuse box, and the circuit breaker has tripped. So it's always worth checking your circuit breaker anytime anything goes out to make sure nothing has tripped. It could save you some time and money.

Has your fridge stopped working? Or does it feel warmer than it used to? Don't rush to buy a new one, instead have a look at the coils in the back. If anything is getting blocked, this can actually cause the whole compressor to start heating up, which in turn can start heating up your actual fridge.

And finally, if you are one of those people who can't live without their tumble dryer, this is the tip for you! If your clothes aren't drying as efficiently, then it may have something to do with your lint filter! Even if it looks clean to the eye, there could be microscopic threads and dirt covering it. The best way to get a thorough clean is to soak the filter in hot water mixed with washing detergent, then give it a good scrub with a stiff brush and it should be good to go!
